A romantic dinner in Ho Chi Minh City? Where to start? When romance is in the air and you want to take your partner out for a very special night, the choices are of course many and varied. These are not evenings to leave to chance; nothing breaks that romantic spell faster than getting the venue wrong. Make sure that you will be in the right place at the right time by booking a table at one of Ho Chi Minh City’s finest French eateries, La Villa.

La Villa Labour Of Love

La Villa is a Labour of Love

For Michelin trained chef Thierry and his wife Tina, La Villa has been a labour of love. This is a restaurant that conforms to the highest standards of French cuisine, without conforming to the restrictions of tradition. Of course traditional food and techniques are respected, but this is modern French fine dining of the ultimate standard.

The setting is superb; a delightful and imposing villa, with beautiful gardens, a swimming pool to the front, nestled in the heart of District 2, away from the smog, clog and noise of life across the river. As soon as you cross the threshold, the grandeur and magnificent decor announce themselves.

The ambience lends itself perfectly to a romantic meal for two. Bring your loved one here for a romantic dinner in Ho Chi Minh City, and things will go right; right from the start. The restaurant has a homely feel to it, after all it is Thierry and Tina’s home. The crisp clean white linen is complemented by the superb quality tableware. The always impeccable service is of the kind that almost goes unnoticed, such is its seamless application.

There is of course no more romantic a drink than wine, and La Villa has one of, if not the best wine cellars in the whole of Vietnam’s largest metropolis. Here you can toast your love with the drink of the gods at anything from a very reasonable Bordeaux priced at only VND 780,000, right up to an extremely rare and pricey Chateau Petrous 1995 at VND 129,720,000 per bottle. This bottle is one of perhaps only 200 on the planet. Whatever your taste, the restaurant will have a superb offering and will gladly assist you in choosing.

Book your romantic dinner in Ho Chi Minh City in advance

Phoning ahead and informing La Villa that this is a special occasion will ensure that your romantic dinner in Ho Chi Minh City is marked in a special way. For birthdays and anniversaries, for example, they are more than happy to place a candle on the table and your partner’s dessert is presented with fireworks! For those special romantic nights, rose petals can be arranged on the table and a gift card may be ready and waiting for your loved one.

Reserving a table is always a good idea at this extremely popular restaurant. To make your romantic dinner more intimate, request either a cosy corner seat inside, or have them set a table up outside by the swimming pool. If the weather is reasonably cool fine dining al fresco can be the most romantic experience.
